No… I didn’t misspell it. Tumblr is a free service that lets you create blog like sites. The FAQs describe it as a scrap book. It lets you mark websites, videos, pictures etc to share with the rest of the world.
I stumbled on Tumblr through an article on LifeHacker the other day. The official Tumblr blog is on WordPress. I set up an account (painless) and started my TumbleLog. I’ll admit I haven’t play around with all of the options and different media types that can be posted. But posting a site is easy. I just click on the little “Share on Tumblr” bookmarklet and hit OK in the pop-up window. It gives you the option of editing the title and everything.
They’ve also got a couple different themes you can use and are planning on using more. You can also change the colors in the themes and even create a custom theme using the base CSS they provide.
So here’s my TumbleLog… Enjoy. I hope to be adding to it in the near future.
thanks for the interesting link Kat! i’m going to go check out Tumblr myself considering all the weird falaffal i’m having with servers at the mo.
hope that you’re doing okay
