For those of you who might have wanted to comment on my recent entries, I apologize. I didn’t realize comments were turned off.
There’s some sort of communication problem between BlogDesk, which I use to write offline, and WordPress.
I saw on the WordPress forums people where having trouble with pings not being set for individual posts even though the little box was checked in BlogDesk. Looks like the same thing happens with comments.
Thanks to Marcy for pointing this out.
Update: Johannes (the BlogDesk programmer) has pushed out a hotfix for the problems between BlogDesk and WordPress.com. Thanks to him for his quick action on the problem.
Apparently wordpress.com changed something in their codebase. In a few days I will release a hotfix for BlogDesk to address this problem.
I thought you just didn’t want to be troubled by people being cheery and supportive.

These two need checkmarks #
# Attempt to notify any Weblogs linked to from the article (slows down posting.)
# Allow link notifications from other Weblogs (pingbacks and trackbacks.)
Nah. If I didn’t want to be bothered by y’all, I just wouldn’t post.
@TT: Those were checked but I unchecked them, saved and then rechecked them. I just did a test post from BlogDesk and it’s still broken.
OH WOW!
Thank you very much! And I never even got over to the BlogDesk forums or the WP forums to put in a bug report.
:D
Please contact me directly if you would like a preview of the hotfix.
Just poppin’ over from Marcy’s to say HI! (((((HUGS))))) sandi
